Psychological insight into the emotional and relational realities of money at work

Opening up conversations about money in professional life

We don’t talk about money much in professional life. But we are constantly making decisions about it. Trying to work out the value of a piece of work, managing a late cancellation, or deciding whether to raise money with a client can feel surprisingly difficult.

These dilemmas link to questions about responsibility, identity, and what it means to do good work. They can lead to patterns like avoidance or inconsistency, which, over time, can affect both financial stability and the quality of our working relationships.

Much of it is shaped not only by individual experience, but by professional norms, wider narratives about work and vocation, and cultural expectations around money and value.

My work creates space to explore these dynamics more openly. I speak and write about the emotional, relational, and structural realities of money in independent professional life.

If you are looking for a podcast guest, a contributor to a publication, or a bespoke session for your team or audience, I would be very happy to hear from you.
